A career milestone will be reached by Bulls guard DeMar DeRozan on Monday


CHICAGO – While most of his career has been spent elsewhere, DeMar DeRozan hits another milestone while in Chicago.

After reaching 20,000 points early in the 2022-2023 season, the Bulls guard will play in his 1,000 NBA regular season game on Monday night when his team hosts the Atlanta Hawks at the United Center.

According to BasketballReference.com, DeRozan will become the 151st player in league history to reach that record. From 1996 to his 1997, Robert Parrish, who spent the last of his 21 seasons in the NBA with the Bulls, has a record of 1,611 games played.

DeRozan is in his second season with the Bulls and his 14th season in the league, after nine years with the Raptors and three with the Spurs. DeRozan has appeared in 76 of the 82 regular-season games in 2021-22 and has missed just three of the Bulls’ 45 games this season.

In January of this year, he had to miss several games with a quad strain, but he returned to help the Bulls win Thursday against the Pistons in Paris. I was.
