Love him or hate him, Tom Brady is arguably the greatest NFL player of all time. The NFL will miss him.
In a league where equality often reigns, no one has achieved more sustained success than Brady. Brady managed to cling to the top of the mountain and never let go. No matter who the competition was, Brady somehow always seemed to hold out.
As a result, he’s just retired and is said to have some pretty impressive stats and records that are hard to hide. Let’s see where we are.

Brady is well ahead of the NFL touchdown record. Drew Brees is second only to him with 571 touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers is his player closest active with his 475.

In addition to passing touchdowns, Brady set an NFL record for passing yards at nearly 10,000. No one is going to break this anytime soon.

To get a lot of passing yards, you have to try a lot of passes. Brady has his 12,050 passes his attempts, the most in NFL history. That’s a huge amount of trust his coaches have placed in him over the years.

This was quite a surprise. Brady’s 97.2 passer rating is only 10th all-time at the moment, well behind many players still active in the NFL. However, Rogers (103.2) and Brees (98.7) are the only two players who have played more than 15 seasons and whose passer rate is higher than Brady’s.

Brady also has just six total All-Pro team selections, behind only Peyton Manning (10) and Johnny Unitas (7) as the most-chosen quarterback. His 6 is alongside Brett Favre, Steve Young, Dan Marino and Sid Luckman.

Brady’s three MVP trophies are incredibly impressive. Only Peyton Manning (5) and Aaron Rodgers (4) have more records.

It’s corny to say it, but anyway, these are probably the MVP trophies the guy cares more about. His five Super Bowl MVPs are the most by any player at any position. I guess it will be like that for a while.
