Crowley receives Huck Early Career Chair appointment


University Park, Pennsylvania — Nikki Crowley, Assistant Professor of Biology and Biomedical Engineering, has been named Dorothy Foehr Huck and J. Lloyd Huck Early Career Chair in Neurobiology and Neuroengineering by the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences .

Crowley’s research focuses on the role that neuropeptides play as unique molecules in brain signaling and health regulation, and seeks to elucidate how neuropeptides regulate neural circuits. Specifically, the Crowley Lab explores interactions between neuropeptides, neurotransmitters, neurons, and circuits and how these systems change with variables such as biological sex, stress, drug exposure, and age.
