Eagles legend Brandon Graham reaches a new career milestone

We’ve probably told this story a thousand times, and feel compelled to tell it again (or at least a variation of it) every time Brandon Graham does something important. Once upon a time, the Philadelphia Eagles made a big decision on draft day. Traded up in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. At the time, many thought they were doing so to pick Texas Longhorns star Earl Thomas. In the end, Philly was having trouble finding a suitable replacement for Brian Dawkins. The rest, as they say, is history.

Thomas’ career got off to a faster start. Though he is considered by many to be a Pro Football Hall of Famer, BG is no slouch. The 2022-2023 NFL regular season follows a season in which he missed all but two games due to a torn Achilles tendon. Thomas has not played a game since January 11, 2020.

Graham set a new PR in Week 17 against the New Orleans Saints. For the first time in his career, he achieved his double-digit sack count in 1 his season.

Brandon Graham’s 10 sacks this season is a personal best.

Prior to Week 17, Brandon Graham appeared in 183 games and appeared in 110 games. That includes seven playoff his games. All wearing Eagles jerseys. In 2016, he earned a second-team All-Pro nod. You can argue that he deserves at least three more times, including this season, but that’s another story.

BG is the creator of the most famous strip sack in Super Bowl history. Now he’s added one more thanks to his Andy Dalton. By doing so, he has 10 in the season. Personal best.

He has long secured votes for the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year. Oh, by the way, he’s our Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year no matter what happens in the future.
