Gareth Bale and Wayne Rooney are undeniably the greatest British players of all time, but how do their records compare?

Rooney has had an illustrious career in the Premier League, scoring 253 goals for Manchester United, making him the all-time leading goalscorer. He is also England’s all-time leading goalscorer with his 53 goals on the international stage.

He has been integral to Man United’s success under Sir Alex Ferguson, winning 16 trophies, including five league titles, during his stay at Old Trafford.

“For me, he was the best centre-forward I’ve ever seen at Manchester United and played with him.

“In and out of possession, in the dressing room, energy every morning. He’s an absolute livewire, a street fighter, tough, goal-scoring, goal-assisting, a great defender and never giving up.” There was no.”

Bale himself recently announced his retirement from football after an illustrious 17-year career. The Welshman started his career at Southampton and soon after he moved to Tottenham in 2007.

Initially, Bale took time to adjust to the Premier League, but once he found his feet, he didn’t look back. Bale, who won the PFA Players ‘Players’ Player of the Year award twice, could do it all.

His career especially took off in the summer of 2013 when he moved to world-record Real Madrid. Bale won his 16 trophies with the Spanish club, including five Champions League titles.

Both players cut their boots, so we compared their career-wide records. You can decide which one is better.
