Hickory — Hickory Career & Arts Magnet High School is now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 academic year and will close early enrollment on February 15th.
There will be an open house for students and parents interested in learning more about the school on Tuesday, January 24th at 6pm.
Academies offered at Hickory Career & Art Magnet High School are Computer Programming, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Graphics and Photography, Performing Arts, Health Sciences (Certified Nursing Assistant and Paramedic Technician), and Visual Arts.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses are included in many of the Academy’s recommended courses. Certifications within the CTE course include Microsoft Office Specialist Word & PowerPoint, Adobe Certified Professional Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro & Dreamweaver, ServSafe, North Carolina Nurse Aide I, CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician, FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot License , and emergency medical technicians.

Students interested in attending Hickory Careers & Arts Magnet High School should consider enrolling in Year 9 to secure a space in their chosen career field. Career class space is limited.
Students receive all required coursework in high school, including English, math, science, and foreign languages, required for high school graduation and continuation to a four-year college or community college.
