Ames, Iowa — Ashley Jowens scored 19 points to lead the No. 11 Cyclones in a 70-50 victory over West Virginia on Wednesday night, setting two records for Iowa.

Joeens, who was named to the Wooden Award midseason watch list on Wednesday, made 288 two 3-pointers in his career, passing Heather Ezell (2006-09) and Megan Taylor (1998-2001). She also grabbed 11 rebounds for her 55th career double-double, breaking a tie with Angie Wells (1999-02).

Both of her 3-pointers came in the third quarter as Iowa State (10-2, 2-0 Big 12) outscored the Mountaineers 20-4.

Stephanie Soares had 13 points and a career-high 20 rebounds for the Cyclones. Lexi Donarski added her 15 points and surpassed her 1,000 in her career.

Janiah Quinally scored 16, Kaia Watson scored 12 (9-4, 0-2),

The teams were tied 37-all at halftime when the Mountaineers used four more 3-and-8-0 advantages in points from turnovers to keep the pace. But after both teams shot over 40% of him in the first half, the Mountaineers slumped to 17% of him in the second half, missing all 13 of his 3-point attempts.

West Virginia will play at Kansas State University on Saturday. Iowa State beat No. 17 Oklahoma on Sunday as he won four in a row.
