2019, Net Forward Kevin Durant I went to Serge Ibaka How hungry are you? He declared that he wanted to play in Europe before his career ended. Specifically, he said he wanted to play for FC Barcelona.
“I really want to play abroad for the last season,” Durant said via Nets Daily. “In Barcelona. I’m just dreaming, but I think it would be cool to experience it.
Well, on Friday, Durant was asked if he still had the same desire, and the veteran forward backed off a bit.
“I just won a championship and was playing great, so maybe I was thinking a little too much about the end,” Durant said. “I have a lot of respect for the Euroleague…but I really don’t think that will happen.”
Durant, 34, is still playing at a very high level and probably has a few more years left in his prime to lead another team to an NBA title. After his two wins with Golden State, it will be difficult for Durant to repeat that success in Brooklyn and he will want to lead the Nets to a championship before he retires.
