Maestro Kraemer Looks Back On Symphony Career – ButlerRadio.com


The longtime leader of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra looks back fondly on his time as conductor.

Last week, we announced the appointment of maestro Matthew Kramer as music director of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

We recently spoke with Kramer who said he appreciates the collaborative efforts from the community that help Symphony succeed.

“It was no one’s effort. The whole board, the musicians and the community all worked together to make sure the orchestra was growing. The orchestra is in a much better place than it was 11 years ago.” I’m sure,” Kramer said.

Kramer also said he is looking forward to new opportunities to perform with New Orleans’ historic orchestra.

“This is the oldest musician-led, co-run orchestra in the country,” Kramer said. ‚ÄúThere is his 36-week season with his 72 full-time musicians.

Kramer will wrap up the season with the Butler County Symphony, which includes his next show on February 4th.
