When Manchester United needed the upper hand this season, Marcus Rashford provided just that.
The attacker has played two roles this season: center forward and left forward. He prefers to play on the left flank and that is where he produces his best football.
Rashford had a dismal season last season, scoring a total of six goals in all Premier League seasons. The Englishman has scored seven goals in 17 appearances so far this season.
The 25-year-old has a total of 10 goals and assists in the Premier League alone this season, a significant improvement in his returns. Rashford has scored in all his last five games for the club.
Rashford has removed any doubts people had about his long-term future potential at the club.
Talks continue about a new long-term deal off the pitch, but Rashford continues to exceed expectations. The attacker is one of those players Ten Hag can continue to build in the future transfer market.
The 25-year-old has proven successful when trusted by his manager. Rashford could really be one of United’s greatest players if he puts his long-term future in the hands of the club.
