The Rotary Club of Florence is hosting a presentation today by two educators from Northern Kentucky about career guidance tools that schools in the area are using to help students find better jobs.

Correy Eimer of the Northern Kentucky Regional Development District and Jennie LaMothe of NaviGo share details of the YouScience tool during a lunchtime presentation at the Florence Nature Center at 7200 Nature Park Dr. in Florence. The event will be streamed live on her YouTube channel and her Facebook Live at the Rotary Club of Florence.
With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Georgetown University and a Master of Science in Education from Xavier University, LaMothe spent 17 years in higher education before joining the NaviGo team. She has held a variety of roles at NKU and Northwood University, including advising, teaching, program development, and first-generation research and support. Before she worked at a higher education institution, she worked with Talbot and Pottery facilitating her Burn training and development.
During her career, LeMothe has advised students who were unsure about their college majors and whether they should pursue higher education. Students often struggled to find their way in college, often racking up thousands of dollars in debt. She is passionate about what NaviGo does for middle and high school students, helping them to follow a more focused and purposeful path after high school.
Eimer has 22 years of experience in social services and government, working in a variety of areas including foster care, mental health, social services management, higher education management, and workforce development. He holds a master’s degree in Social Work and Public Administration from West Virginia University. Eimer lives in Walton with his wife Erin and his two children. He is a current class member of the NKY Chamber of Commerce Leadership He Northern He Kentucky program.
Aimer has worked in the workforce expansion field for over five years, from running the Kentucky Career Center to currently leading Northern Kentucky workforce development with the Northern Kentucky Area Development District. Working with LaMothe and her Eimerbaim, she develops the Kentucky workforce and encourages young people to pursue careers with passion.
