Phillips Earns First Career Korn Ferry Tour Victory – Texas A&M Athletics

GREAT EXUMA, Bahamas – Texas A&M Men’s Golf All-America Chandler Phillips ’19 showed consistency in the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic on Wednesday afternoon, earning his first career victory on the Corn Ferry Tour.

Phillips won the par 72, 7,001-yard Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Club Course with a 14-under 274. He was the only golfer to score sub-70 in all four rounds, and on the final day he made up four strokes to win by two. stroke. The Huntsville, Texas native defeated runners-up Cody Brick and Peter Nade 69-68-69-68.

Phillips was one of the best colleges in the U.S. during his time at Agieland and was named a PING All-American three times, including First Team in 2018 and Second Team in 2017 and 2019. – SEC Second Team as a freshman.
