Pitt F Bertin Jacquesson Signs Generation Adidas Deal, Ends Collegiate Career




Pitt’s junior forward Bertin Jackeson has signed a deal with Generation and Adidas to end his college career, the program was announced Tuesday.

Generation Adidas is a joint venture between MLS and adidas. The program helps underclassmen and youngsters earn a Generation adidas contract that puts them in his MLS Superdraft. MLS clubs that acquire players under Generation adidas contracts do not go against their annual budgets. This gives those teams an incentive to sign players on those contracts and gives those players time to develop.

Jackson finished his college career as one of the best players in Pitt’s history, especially as an attacker. He scored 19 goals, 23 assists and 61 points in 57 games for Pitt.

His 23 assists are second-most in the Panthers, and his 61 points are seventh-best in Panthers history.

Jackson played a big role in Pitt, making three straight appearances in the Elite Eight in 2020–22 and two College Cup appearances.

He finished the season with 8 goals and 5 assists and started all 19 appearances.

Jackson scored three goals in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, the second-most on the team behind senior midfielder Valentin Noel, who scored four goals. He scored his two goals at home in the first round against Cleveland State in a 2–1 win, and in the 87th minute of the Sweet 16 he beat No. 1 Kentucky to an incredible record. of strikes.

He created an assist for Noel who scored a go-ahead goal in the second period of the Elite Eight’s win over Portland.

Jackson earned All-ACC Second Team honors in all three seasons in the pits. He also made the All-His ACC Freshman Team in 2020-21 and TopDrawerSoccer named him Freshman of the Year.
