Sartell Girls Hooper Hits Career Milestone, Crusaders Stay Perfect in Granite Ridge Girls Hoops

Cathedral 57, Pierz 45: The Pioneers put a small lineup on the court, but Piers held his own on the glass and was opportunistic across the arc, scoring exclusively from downtown on seven three-pointers in the first half.

The cathedral weathered the early storms and began work on the lower ground. Grace Sand scored his game-high 16 points despite missing several minutes in the second half due to his trouble foul. Ella Voight has added her 14. Most of it was after Transition tried to stop her bucket and crashed into the back wall under his own, immobilizing his wrist.

The Crusaders finished the first half strong, leading 28-21 at halftime. Piertz answered early in the second, but was unable to keep the Crusaders within reach of the stretch. Pioneers led by Alyssa Sadrowski with his 11 points.

Going into the game, Sadrowski was fourth in the Granite Ridge Conference in scoring and Sand was third. The cathedral is now 6-4 he overall.

Buffalo 69, Surtel 61: Sabers guard Avery Templin scored his 1,000th career point in the loss. Sartell’s two-game losing streak put him down to 9-4 overall.
